There is nothing worse than finding that perfect plant for the garden, then having it expire during the first hot spell or cold snap. All geographic areas of the planet have a climatic signature, the highs and lows of both temperature and humidity. Each plant has specific (some more than others) environmental requirements, and the two have to coincide in order for the plant to thrive. Many of the Biblical plants will need winter protection in climates in zones 1-7.
